| A 5* luxury lodge situated within a Big 5 reserve seeks an experienced spa therapist to join remote lodge catering to predominantly international clientele. |
All applicants to have a minimum of 3 yrs previous working experience within spas or health and wellness centres in the capacity of spa therapist and preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked in the capacity of Spa Therapist within a Lodge environment. Formally qualified candidates will be given preference (Diploma in Somatology or similar - certified CIBTAC, CIDESCO, SAAHSP) and should be familiar with treatments including Hot Stone Therapy, Aromatherapy massage, reflexology massage, Swedish massage and Indian Head Massage as well as basic manicures, pedicures, facials and other conventional treatments. Additional duties for the position include assisting in the housekeeping department as a secondary role. This position offers a work cycle of 6 working weeks followed by a two week leave period. 1. Ensure that the Spa delivers services and treatments to guests in line with this renowned lodge group's standard of excellence
2. Communicate with Lodge staff continuously to ensure smooth running of the department
3. Daily preparation of spa and gym and maintenance of all related equipment
4. Manage spa stocks and ensure that shrinkage is kept to a minimum
5. Ensure that daily and weekly administration is completed timeously
6. Hosting of lodge guests to dinner
7. Conduct job tasks in a manner that is in accordance with the environmental requirements of the department and lodge
As such the person filling this position needs to have:
12. Knowledge of world-class spa standards and procedures
13. National Diploma in Health and Skin Care (two to three years of study)
14. Reflexology and aromatherapy.
15. ITEC or CIDESCO Certificate
16. Basic computer skills - Excel and Word
17. Reliability
18. Physical stamina

Formal qualifications required include Diploma in Somatology or similar (CIDESCO, CIBTAC, SAAHSP) with a minimum of 3 years previous working experience within 5* salons, Health and Wellness Centres in a senior/Management Capacity. Therapies include Hotstone massage, Indian massage, Reflexology and the latest in Organic spa therapy. Candidates with previous Training and experience on Dermalogica products preferred. Additional duties include assisting with front office duties including the check in and out of guests, processing of guest accounts and assisting with interactive guest liason to ensure high standard of service is delivered at all times.
