Can you believe it’s almost mid-year again !!

Thankfully despite many retrenchments in the industry Hotelstaff has been wonderfully busy. The Industrial Catering sector seems to have been tendering again, that always gives us opportunities and with the many shopping centres going up everywhere, Restaurants are seeking skilled staff.  Durban branch is growing from strength to strength .Many clients will have met Antonette and Cindy as they have travelled down and back to the Indaba. Melodie in Nelspruit is also going well , servicing her regular lodge clients. We are working together to build careers for young people and to find best suited candidates for clients, being able to use each other’s databases to the fullest .

We are getting more and more enquiries about positions up into Africa but are not finding calibre stable candidates who want to adventure forward.  I remember being so excited about the International possibilities of having a Hotel Diploma .The salaries are often slightly higher than in SA , with accommodation  and often very fair trips home  but many young managers seem afraid of the opportunities..
