Hotelstaff was invited to a graduation ceremony at Capitol Hotel School, Pretoria, last week.

The graduates had been put through a certificate course in Housekeeping, Food and Beverage service or Basic Food preparation. The students selected are all matriculants which the department of Public Services has helped through this course. They are simple short certificate courses.  The candidates will be able to become room attendants (with some reception knowledge), waiters or commis chefs.

Hotelstaff was exceptionally impressed with the positive, excited attitude of every one of the graduates. They were in spotless uniforms, all with huge smiles and enthusiasm. Their pride at graduating was exceptional.

We have offered to help these youngsters (who have a very realistic expectation of entry level salaries) to find employment.

If you operate in Pretoria, or have a live - in opportunity, think of these youngsters for any junior opportunities. You will be pleasantly surprised at their wonderful attitude. They need experience but are really willing and have all gained City and Guilds certification in their field.
