Job description.
Mpumalanga – Luxury 5* lodge situated within a Big 5 Private Game Reserve seeks a suitably qualified and experienced Head Ranger to manage the Guiding department of the lodge.
Duties include the hosting of guests and ensure that all their needs and requests are met and exceeded .  He/ She will be required to lead a team which guides and hosts guests according to company standards and ensures that all the Guests’ needs and requests are met and exceeded.  He/She will have high levels of motivation and team building skills as well as an evident interest in the self-development and development of the lodge’s ranging & tracker team. He/ She will be responsible for  Maintenance of all equipment and vehicles pertaining to the guiding team and will be required to Maintain changes to service and delivery of products. Related administration includes ensuring daily weather and game reports are completed and that the department is always abreast of current conservation issues and will be responsible for managing a basic filing and admin system.  Additional duties include ensuring that  all stock takes are done on time and correctly , and that any discrepancies are explained in detail and therefor he/ she should have  strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years previous guiding experience

Position: PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

Job description.
Gauteng – Head Office for National and International Safari & Lodge operator seeks a suitably qualified PR Manager.
The successful incumbent will lead the PR Communications function for USA, Canada, South America & Asia and develop and implement clear strategic PR strategy aligned to the company’s  overall Business and Marketing Strategy within geographic territory.  The successful incumbent should be the  principle geographic contact for media relations including briefing the Marketing Director and senior management for media activity.  He / She will  Craft and distribute all PR materials including press releases, media alerts, fact sheets and creative and be required to work closely with Marketing Team.  The successful candidate will actively seek out new opportunities for revenue generation by identifying creative story angles and aggressively pitch media to secure coverage for markets while developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key media contacts.  Administrative duties include being  responsible for all written communications including electronic and print communications with staff, contributions to company publications, marketing materials, websites and guest/community engagement communications. Requirements include:

You will be required to manage all contracts in the mining division of this facilities management company. Some of the contracts are full risk with the meals being made in a central kitchen and transported to site and sold for cash . Others are managed contracts. The catering mangers in each of these contracts are stable and doing well but need support. Minimum of 10 years in Industry with at least 2 years at senior project management level or even current Area management experience. Experience on large camps in UAE/ Afghanistan at a senior level will be considered. You will need to show you are a strong operator with a good business acumen.
Salary will be in the region of R30,000 pm with a car allowance or company car . Petrol card for work use, medical aid and provident ,work related accommodation costs etc ..  Package is negotiable for the person who can show they have worked successfully in a similar environment .
